Our Process

Process:

The complete system can be broken down into three major parts:

Processing plant

  • Each plant can receive as little as 100 tonnes per day for processing.
  • Waste is processed within the day it is received. This dramatically reduces odour.
  • Waste is automatically processed on a first in, first out basis and is homogenised by shredding to reduce size and a drying process which reduces moisture to approximately 10-15%.
  • Plants are fully scalable to the amount of MSW delivered and can grow with growth in waste.
  • Recycling of metals, glass and inert materialswill be significantly enhanced.

Gasification Plant

  • Hybrid gasification techniques are utilised to break down carbon-based waste streams and turn them into synthesis gas (syngas).
  • The system is a closed loop with no emissions in the gas generation process.
  • Up to 100% of landfill can be diverted. The ash by-product from the gasification process passes strict toxicity testing and can be used in construction.

Electricity Plant

  • The syngas produced is then used to power low emissions gas engines that generate green electricity for the grid.
  • The typical power output for a 100 tonne per day facility is in the order of 1.5 MWh.
